WHO CAN ORGANISE A COURSE?

Courses are organised by Local Organising Committees (LOCs), using the core Fundamentals of Osteoporosis Course material. For further details about the requirements for the LOC and the approval process, please read the section COURSE FACULTY SELECTION below.

HOW TO ORGANISE A COURSE?

  • Click the “ORGANISE A COURSE” button and complete the registration form to accept the LOC Agreement (we recommend submission at least six weeks prior to the course).
  • Upon completion of your registration, you will have access to your personal “Course Management” page and your course will be listed in the «Upcoming Courses» section of the Fundamentals of Osteoporosis website, and available for participants to sign up.
  • The IOF Course Administrator will contact you to sign the LOC Agreement Form (PDF format) and to provide the name of your course faculty.
  • After approval of the LOC agreement by IOF and completion of the payment, you will have access to the course material and course promotional material (banners and course logo).
  • Following which, the course will be listed in the “Upcoming Courses” section and available for participants to sign up.
  • In cases where the course is offered online, the provision of equipment to the course participants (e.g., access to remote communication tools, course material) is the responsibility of the course organiser.

COURSE AND REGISTRATION FEES

The LOC determines what the registration fees will be per participant. However, when setting the registration fee please be aware of the obligatory license and exam fees to IOF, as detailed below.

Important: Registration fee payments by the participants must be made via the IOF Fundamentals of Osteoporosis Course website. IOF will then reimburse the full amount owed to the LOC upon completion of the course.
